Links in my posts a problem?
I think I may be safe from the purge since some time has passed. I was worried because while I don’t really have a lot of obscene art on my blog, I think I heard they were also purging blogs that link to other sources?
I don’t know if tumblr hates you linking too much in a single post, linking to other tumblrs, or even linking back to your own posts. I’ve noticed lately not all my posts show up in the tag search. At least I’m not doing this for money XD
I link a lot (mostly to other posts of mine) for references with what I’m talking about though. I don’t know if I should cut down on the reference links to ensure posts show up in searches…or if I just say “the heck with it” and link whatever reference I need for making a point 0.o Kind of like, since this is my personal blog should I really obsess over getting seen or not anyway?
- Report this issue by emailing tumblr staff. People need to be able to use links or give credits to sources. Not giving credit also gets people in trouble. Even linking to other tumblr posts is causing this glitch
Tumblr has turned into a disaster and will cease to be an efficient platform if this continues
Please email for help so this problem can be resolved, clearly there is a glitch going on. It makes no sense for them to ban links
Thank you for the input. I will definitely get an email sent then. From what I can tell, I don’t think I’ve broken any of their other criteria as to why a post of my mine might not show up vs. another one that does.
It’s a lot easier if I can refer to older posts for discussion (it can even save time), and yes you are ABSOLUTELY right about giving credit where credit is due. It seems silly to get censored just because I want to give someone else credit for something they’ve said or created. Especially because there’s a few people I talk with who I really want others to be able to see what they had to say. Some of them I find to be much more literate than myself too :P
Also, if there’s anything I’ve learned from school, the more references you have the better. Hopefully from more than one author too!

I just finished watching Moonlight and it was so fucking good my entire soul has been cleansed. Everything was beautiful, from the story to the dialogues to the acting to the cinematography to the music, I can’t find a single damn thing I don’t like about this film. That’s some fucking art right there. I’m gonna be on the hunt for blogs talking about the movie because oh god, that was an absolute aesthetic experience.
Hey! I wanted to ask if you could help me spread the word about this education initiative I’m working for Syrian refugee kids in Lebanon. I’m Syrian myself, and I’ve been supporting working on this initiative called Sonbola- which provides non-formal education to Syrian refugees in the form of music, art, and theatre. While working in Lebanon I visited the 4 schools where the programme is being run and I immediately decided that I wanted to do everything I can to try and raise money for this programme to last through the summer.
I could really use your help in spreading the word, raising some money, and sharing the love with this project that I hold very dear to my heart.
